The Kate Project is a platform for the creative design works of Kate Smith. It has been a long held vision to establish a sustainable business, creating an outlet to showcase, share and sell her handpainted silk collections.

Kate Smith began her artistic direction by completing four years of fashion school before moving into the corporate world, forging a successful career in marketing.

The Kate Smith brand is wide ranging, from silk painted dresses, limited edition handmade pieces such as jewellery, and handpainted silk artworks. 

I make what I feel like - I look for things that inspire me and see how I can interpret that in the line and form of a garment or a handpainted silk design.

The aim of The Kate Project is for people to connect with Kate and her unique handpainted silk designs. To incorporate them into your life and lifestyles. To tell your own story of emancipation through her colourful silk creations.
